Succeed Online By Focusing

The majority of Internet marketers are being held back because they fail to focus on their businesses. This lack of focus relates to both short term and long term goals. Long term focus relates to what you eventually want to achieve. Ask yourself what do you want to achieve over the next 10 years. Do you want a new house, a boat, a Ferrari or just to be free from money worries? Whatever it is make a note of it. This is what will drive you onto success

I knew someone who wanted to move out of her cramped apartment into a nice house. She searched the Internet and the local real estate offices until she found her dream home. She then got photographs and plans of the house and placed them on the wall behind her PC. Those photographs and what they stood for were her focus, whenever she felt demotivated she would grab a coffee and stare at the photographs and repeat to herself “I will have that house” Soon she was motivated again. Just over a year later she finalized the purchase of a similar house.

The one thing that will really mess up your long term focus is ironically lack of short term focus. you set you self a task such as writing a blog post or writing a niche article. Before you star you decide to check your emails and you spot one from a friend who you then contact via skype or IM. Before you know it it’s time to finish and you haven’t completed any work whatsoever.

Try to get yourself a regime, each morning I now log onto my PC, check my email for anything important then close down my email program. I then close down any Instant messaging software so that I can’t be disturbed. I then work for at least 3 hours like this. Keep focusing on your short term goals and your long term goals will be achieved.

Try to eliminate any distractions put the dog outside, take the phone off the hook. If necessary talk to your family and tell them that you need to left in peace when you are working. Explaining what you goals are can really help to get their support.

This article has taken me less than 20 minutes to write because I have focused on it and had no distractions. 2 years ago before I learned to focus I would probably have spent a few hours on it.

If you want something enough there is nothing that you can stop you getting it. You just need to believe in yourself and focus on your goals.
