Stay At Home Moms Make Money On Ebay

by David Gates

You’ve heard about it for years. Perhaps you’ve even ventured online a time or two to see what it’s all about. It’s a never-ending list of things to buy and sell. There are new cell phones, used cell phones, DVDs, even cars and vacation time in exotic locations, but there’s something else way more exciting that you may be missing: an opportunity to run your own business, make some money, maybe even get our own products or invention in the public’s eye.

Getting started making money on eBay or another online auction is not difficult but even more important is that it is 100% legitimate and profitable as a work at home business. This is no scam. There are no worries about getting ripped by up-front required investments and no secret information for you to purchase in order to succeed.

Do your research. Internet business reviews are full of the bad businesses and the scammers that will take your money and run, as well as the good guysthe authentic opportunities such as eBay. In fact, you’ll find thousands of references for different ways to make money on eBay. eBay even lists more than a thousand reviews and guides right on their site. Believe me, the least profitable way to start an eBay business is going to garage sales and selling junk. The best eBay home businesses you can runwell, I’ll bet you don’t even know them yet. I’ll tell you about one of them in a minute.

Whatever your living conditions or space considerations, you can make it work. All that is really required is a computer, something to sell and the motivation and knowledge to get you started. You can work from a house, an apartment or out of a rented garage.

An eBay home business can be started in many different ways. My favorite way is to gather up things around the house or garage or attic and jump on eBay to get started. The registration and posted is simple since you just follow the eBay step-by-step instructions. All you need to do is read it through. It is straightforward and in no time you can be ready to list items and sell like a pro.

As you get more familiar with eBay you will find that there are tips and options available on eBay for making the most of your listing, such as finding the value of your item. You can see what the average selling price has been and the quantity that has been sold. Good clear photos are also important and there are tips for maximizing that part of your listing. For example: well lit, and simple backgrounds. There is also advise about things like shipping costs in order not to scare off bidders with excessive shipping.

There are manuals, DVDs, even websites and blogs that can help to get you start. A little extra training can give you an advantage in several ways. You can learn techniques and tips that you may never have thought of. It can also give you more confidence in your ability to actually make money this way. This is just too good to be true: you can make money selling downloadable manuals and books, software and different kinds of lists. There is no shipping, no inventory. You simply inform the buyer where the download is and after you are paid (best part) you can let them download the information. Automatically eBay re-lists your product and it just keeps going, earning you money, as they say, while you sleep. This really is one of the really magic ways to make money on eBay. There are some considerations that you should research prior to getting started on this.

Even though I mentioned that reselling garage sale items may not be the way to go, it certainly is a good way to get started. List those old Barbie dolls. Drag out the Nancy Drew books and list them. This does two things: it gets you comfortable with the process and becomes part of your comfort zone. It also puts money into your pocket quickly. After you are comfortable with the process, then the other alternative ways of selling may be appealing to you. This works. In addition to the idea of selling an online book or pamplet, you could develop a relationship with a manufacturer and drop ship your product. You just take the orders and the manufacturer ships to your customer. You dont touch the product, you just reap the rewards. So, after reading this, do you still think you have to stay home and be bored or broke? Or do you want to start your own eBay business and make money. All you have to do is make the effort. What is more fun that making money and feeding that wallet at the same time?
